I am a Gold Coast father of two young daughters, Willow (2 and half) and Isla (6 months). My partner (Monique) and I met at the gym after both undergoing our own separate body transformations. Monique had lost around 32kg and myself around 20kg. It was gym where our interests clicked and a smile turned into a date and eventually being the parents of two beautiful girls.
Due to rugby I have been in the gym from the age of 13 and I was always active and strived to hold a certain standard of health, however in 2017 I suffered a spinal injury that caused me to lose control of the right side of my upper body. I was stuck in bed most days and I had to say goodbye to the sport that I loved. With lack of purpose, I fell into a depressive state exacerbated by pain and nerve medication which lead to excessive drinking and overeating. I had to make a decision whether I would stay on this self destructive path, or refocus my energy into my health. I pushed myself back into gym until my right side caught up in strength at which point I found a trainer that invested in me and my journey. It taught me that the most beneficial combination to achieving your goals is a hands on, empathetic trainer and to nuture your own mental wellbeing.
My mission is to use my personal experience along with evidence based research in training, nutrition and mental health to help you find yourself AND love yourself. Through goal setting, careful monitoring and ongoing support. I am NOT someone that got into coaching because I seemed to look the part. I am someone that constantly struggles with self image, self doubt, intimidation and other human characteristics just like you. So please, if you feel we are the right fit for each other, reach out. For a no pressure, no obligation and no sales pitch consultation to see if I can help you on your path.
